Dr Paul Smart

Paul is a Senior Research Fellow in Electronics and Computer Science at the University   of Southampton. His work spans a number of disciplinary areas, including computer science, cognitive science, social science, and philosophy. 


He is currently undertaking research into data institutions, trustworthy technology, and the cognitive/epistemic impact of mixed reality devices. Paul   has published in excess of 100 academic papers that cover a range of   interdisciplinary topics. His books include Minds Online (Now   Publishers; 2017) and Blade Runner 2049: A Philosophical Exploration  (Routledge; 2020).
