Reverse mentoring
Reverse mentoring is the opposite of standard mentoring, with the mentor an early career researcher and the mentee a senior leader. It is a powerful way for early career researchers to support an inclusive culture, by sharing lived experiences, perspectives and insights with senior leaders.
Discover more about our BRC reverse mentoring scheme and how you can be part of it, either as a mentor or a mentee. You can read this report on the 2024 reverse mentoring scheme to see key insights from it.
The 2026 reverse mentoring scheme is now accepting expressions of interest. Find out more below.
For mentees, we are looking for volunteers from NIHR Partnerships senior management team members, or senior PIs affiliated to the BRC, NIHR Southampton Clinical Research Facility or NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Wessex.
