Dr Phekoo provides strategic and operational support to the BRC Director and Theme Leads with delivery of scientific programmes, budget responsibility and performance measurement and management, to ensure a world-class standard is maintained.

She is highly qualified, with over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare sector, strategically leading and influencing local, regional, national and international quality and research programmes. 

These have included the NIHR CLAHRC NWL, Oxford Clinical Trials Service Unit and SGUL, setting up the international Asymptomatic Carotid Endarterectomy Trial (ASCT-2), Imperial College and Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership in designing a self-assessment survey for National Clinical Audits, and establishing a Epidemiological Register for haematological malignancies across the South Thames Region.
